Map Test United States and Canada - 29 September After you finish the test, please complete the following textbook assignment: page 196, answer questions 8 - 13, then turn it in. Map Test European Countries and Capital Cities - 6 October Use the blank political map you completed in class on Monday as well as online games to study for this test. Research Assignment - Destination London Choose a place in London - a museum, palace, park, etc. - you would like to visit. Research online, then create a presentation (PowerPoint, Prezi,) containing the information you find. You may want to download and preview Mr. Walters' presentation about Whitechapel Bell Foundry. You're welcome to use it as a template for your own creation. This assignment should be turned in through the web site and is due by Friday, October 13. I will share some of the best ones with the class.
European Physical Geography notes - 9 October. Students took notes as we used Chapter 16 and their physical geography handout to learn more about the countries they are reading about. Please bring a smart phone or other device to class. Download the Socrative app before coming to class. Wednesday 21 September - label the political and physical maps of the United States and Canada. Today we will use devices to practice identifying. In class research: Use Wikipedia to research the transportation (mostly water) routes and industries that allowed these cities to grow. Tuesday 4 October - the State Nicknames assignment is due today (this is the assignment we worked on in class).
